Costs and How to Book

 

How much will it cost?

The cost of sailing on Vital Spark is shared amongst everyone on board.  They include food, drink, fuel (diesel and Gaz) and marina charges, and generally work out at about £25 - £30 per person per day.  This figure excludes the cost of meals ashore.  The amount of motor sailing significantly affects this figure as does the number of nights spent in marinas. We also make an additional charge of £10 per person a day towards the cost of maintaining the boat.

The cost and organisation of travel to and from the port of embarkation and disembarkation is the responsibility of the crew member.  This could add £100 - £160 to the cost of a holiday for flights in high summer to somewhere like Copenhagen depending on how early you book. The all-up cost of a one-week cruise based on Copenhagen will be about £450 including flights and two meals ashore.

Before you Book

Prior to booking, we usually like to meet potential crew so that we can get to know one another.  It's also useful if you can let us know beforehand some things about yourself including a brief sailing CV.

 

How to Book 

  1. Download our Booking Form, complete it and post it to the address on the bottom of the Form.

  2. When we receive your Form we will confirm your booking but don't buy your cheap air ticket just yet.

  3. As soon as we have a quorum for the cruise, we will contact you and tell you to book the flight.

  4. Just before the proposed cruise we will send you our Joining Instructions. These will tell you where to meet, what to bring and all contact details.
